It's all about Rory

Helping a special little boy for the future

Method have been helping out with a really great cause for a truley brave little boy. Rory was born with Cystic Fibrosis and his parents have been fundraising endlessly, with the aim of getting the best pioneering physiotherapy equipment and nutritional guidance to help their son.

We have designed a new logo and flyers for a recent summer fete (which raised £1454.34 for Rory) and together with "The Rory Army" of friends and volunteers we are now starting on the next event... watch this space.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening inherited disease, affecting over 10,000 people in the UK.

Cystic fibrosis can’t be caught or developed. If you are not born with cystic fibrosis you will never have it, but you could be a cystic fibrosis gene carrier. However some people with cystic fibrosis are not diagnosed until later in life.

One in 25 people carry the faulty cystic fibrosis gene. For someone to be born with cystic fibrosis, both parents must carry the faulty gene. If both parents have the gene, there is a 25% chance the child will have cystic fibrosis. If both parents carry the gene there is also a 50% chance of the child being a gene carrier and a 25% chance they will not have the faulty cystic fibrosis gene.
